Last year Boldon School raised a total of £2985.00 for our chosen charity St Oswald's Childrens Hospice in Gosforth, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The money was raised by both staff and students who participated in a variety of events including quizzes, martial art displays, pyjama parties, the sale of cuddly beanies and a swimathon.
In 2009 we will continue to support the hospice and are looking to beat last years fundraising total. The major event of the year is going to be an Its a Knockout competition which will be taking place at Bents Park in South Shields on the 11th of July.
Ten members of staff have formed a team to take part in the competition. They are calling themselves Hayes Heroes and we totally expect them them to make complete fools of themselves. |

Members of the general public are welcome to come along on the day so please join us and support our team who are hoping to raise in excess of £1000.00 from the event.
Throughout the year we will be organising lots of other fund raising events so watch this space for details and for information on how you can get involved. |
