Staff and students joined forces to raise £681.89 for Children in Need!
Stacey Ramsey and Maxina Warren organised a ‘wig factor’ campaign. Staff were asked to wear a colourful wig, tie, shirt, blouse or outfit and students sponsored them.
Several staff joined in the fun; Mrs Chidley was almost illuminous, Mrs Potter offended many by wearing a Manchester United shirt and Mr McVay struggled to get through doors in his humongous head creation. The Spice Girls (Mrs Soulsby, Miss Patterson, Miss Dunn, Miss Hood and Mr Phelps) made an appearance and the students were amazed by the resemblance.
Students who also joined in included Dominic Jones and Christopher Clough (Year 9) who had their legs waxed in assembly, and several students carried out a sponsored silence. The day was a great success with everyone entering into one spirit of the event.
