Using this site

We hope you find it easy to find your way around the Boldon School Website.

You can move to the main sections by using the menu bar on the top of each page or the text menu at the bottom of each page.

Downloadable Documents

Our website contains documents for download in a variety of formats. The different formats and how to download and view them are summarised below:

Portable Document Format (PDF) files
PDF files can be viewed by left clicking on the link or downloaded by right clicking on the link and choosing 'Save Target As'. To view PDF files you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader it can be downloaded from the Adobe website by clicking the following button.

Microsoft Word (DOC) files
To download Word documents right click on the link and choose 'Save Target As'. You will need Microsoft Word to view the files.

Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT) files
To download PowerPoint documents right click on the link and choose 'Save Target As'. You will need Microsoft PowerPoint to view the files or you can download and install a free PowerPoint viewer from the Microsoft website.

Zip (ZIP) files
Zip files allow a group of documents to be compressed and stored in one file instead of having to download one document at a time. The user downloads the zip file and then extracts the documents it contains. To download Zip files right click on the link and choose 'Save Target As'. Zip files can be opened using Windows XP, for older versions of Windows you will need a copy of WinZip.
