The school is aware that parents welcome a standard dress for their children; this avoids the dictates of fashion and keeps down expense. The Governors feel it is important that pupils should have a sense of belonging and common purpose that is encouraged by a uniform and that social difference should be avoided. Every pupil must adhere to this policy that has the backing of the governors.

Our uniform may be purchased at any outfitters, but school badges and ties can only be bought from Boldon School or the following stockists:

Trutex also supply our uniform and a representative will be available at our Open Evenings.  Parents are able to purchase items through the school using a Trutex order form and catalogue, or from the Trutex Direct website, details of the website are below.

Note: Trutex are the only supplier of the school PE kit and must be ordered from them.

Every student must wear the school uniform.

If your child wishes to wear a sweater it must be a black V-necked sweater.

All articles of clothing should be permanently and clearly marked with the owner's name.

As the school has no insurance cover for pupil's personal belongings, our advice is that you take out appropriate cover on your household insurance.

Please Note:

• Trainers or leisure shoes, jeans, ski pants, culottes and tracksuit bottoms are not acceptable.
• Outdoor coats must be dark in colour – no tracksuit tops.
• The wearing of denim or leather over jackets is strictly forbidden.
• Hair should be of an acceptable length; any form of cult hairstyle or shaven head is not acceptable.
• Walkmans, mobile phones, pagers and electronic games must be switched off and kept out of sight in classrooms and corridors.
• Baseball caps or woollen hats are not to be worn in school.
• Mini skirts are not acceptable.

Our school uniform brochure has been provided by Trutex, who are the school's supplier and have committed to stocking our school uniform.  They will also provide sponsorship for our school fund on each order placed.

You can order by phone 6am-11pm, 7 days a week. To make your call easier and to provide you with a record of your order, please complete the order form including the product reference code before you dial. Please note calls may be recorded for training purposes.

By post

Send the completed order form accompanied by a cheque made payable to Trutex Plc or postal order or card details to Trutex Direct, Taylor Street, Clitheroe, Lancashire, BB7 1NL. Please do not send cash.

Online

Log on to www.trutexdirect.com and click 'sign in - to order on line'.

Under the 'sign in here' section enter the school code LEA00458SC in to the appropriate box, your email address is optional.

The items available to purchase will be listed, select the colour, size and quantity you require and click the 'add to bag' icon next to each item.

Proceed to 'checkout' and follow the on-screen payment instructions, then finalise your order.

How to pay

If ordering by phone you can pay with Switch, Solo, Delta or Visa Electron debit cards, or by Mastercard or Visa credit cards. If ordering by post, you can pay using any of the cards above or by personal cheque made payable to Trutex Plc or by postal order.

Free delivery

Delivery is usually within 3 working days on receipt of an order by phone or post. However delays are inevitable due to increased volume of orders during the back to school period (July - August).

Express delivery

For urgent orders an Express Delivery Service is available Monday to Friday - £6.00. All orders must be received before 10.30am (Monday to Friday). Delivery times are based on working days and exclude weekends and Bank Holidays.
