BOLDON SCHOOL GIRLS FOOTBALL TEAM

Boldon School girl’s football is going from strength to strength. On Thursday 28 February 2008, we were invited to take part in the Premiership Football try outs at the Gosforth Football Centre. If we succeeded we would have gone on to represent Newcastle United in the Northern Area Final.

The standard of play was fantastic, and we were successful in getting through to the semi- finals. The tournament was very high scoring, but unfortunately we were beaten in the semi’s and watched a very skilful Durham Johnston win.

We were extremely pleased with the attitude and commitment from the U13 girls, who are a credit to the school.
