Trampolining

In a recent North of England Regional Schools Trampolining competition on 5th December 2004 at Lightfoot Sports Centre, two year nine girls performed exceptionally finishing 9th and 31st out of 75 competitors.

Very well done to Gillian Robinson and Jemma Watson from Year 9.

Athletics

Stephanie and Sarah Lamb, Year 11 athletic stars at Boldon took up athletics at 12, competing in local events as well as events in Glasgow, Sheffield and Manchester. Both girls do well in all athletics and last summer stephanie qualified for the English Schools Championships by breaking the Durham County long jump record. Sarah also participates in lots of tournaments for her team, and hopes to be scouted for England one day.

The future is looking good for these two and they hope to travel to Cardiff to compete in combined events in the near future.
