Year 11 Exam Results Collection

We would just like to inform you that students are allowed to collect their exam results from Boldon School on Thursday 27 August 2009.  This will occur between 10.30am -12.00pm. Students can collect the results from the Bistro.  We are anticipating a particularly successful year this year.

ASDAN/COPE

• Those students who were entered for the ASDAN/COPE project will also discover whether or not they have passed.  A pass is the equivalent to a GCSE ‘B’ grade.  The vast majority of the year group were entered, although a minority were not –due to a lack of work created in tutor time.

On-Line Tests

• Those students who took and passed Literacy and Numeracy on-line tests will also see these results added onto their GCSE results.  A Level 1 pass in either subject is the equivalent to half an ‘E’ grade.  A Level 2 pass is the equivalent to half a GCSE ‘B’ pass.  Therefore students who have passed both have the equivalent to a full GCSE grade ‘E’ or ‘B’ grade.

BTEC

• Those students who took BTEC qualifications will also see these results added onto their GCSE results.  A BTEC Diploma is worth 4 GCSE's whilst a BTEC Certificate is worth 2 GCSE's.
