It is the aim of the R.E. Department to present a variety of materials that are interesting and relevant to young people today, in which students are encouraged:

• To enquire and investigate Christianity and other principle religions represented in Great Britain today.
• To develop the ability to make reasoned and informed judgement about religious, moral and social issues with reference to the teachings of Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism and Sikhism and Islam.
• To develop tolerance for others and respect the right of individuals to hold different views and beliefs.
• To recognise the value of living in a society with diverse religious and cultural practices.
